There was no plan for this.
No protocol, no precedent. Today, we were on our own.
Fear alone cannot describe the feeling slamming inside our chests.
A terror that our imaginations could never even create. If the devil existed, this was his worst nightmare.
To my left, a boy holding a plasma rifle half his size, struggling to even hold it up.
To my right, the strongest person I had ever known was slowly peddling backwards, jaw open and eyes wide.
